Here is Kelly's current situation:
Hey y’all! Well I graduated from USC and jetted off to Johnson City, TN to report for a newspaper, TV station and website as a multimedia fellow. So, I spend my days traipsing around Northeast TN covering everything from pill peddlers to 15 inch beards. Though I enjoy the people here and love the beautiful mountainous scenery, I do miss the sunny sandy beaches and authentic sweet tea of SC (as I am originally from a small town outside of Moncks Corner, SC).
As my fellowship comes to a close at the end of March I am looking forward to getting back to my roots in SC, pouring a nice tall glass of tea and eating my fave fried food: fried squash. No one fries it like momma does!"

"So I just put on my most comfortable pjs , popped a bag of popcorn and settled into my little nook on the couch just in time to catch the Barbara Walter’s Special before the Academy Awards aka the Oscars.
Right now she’s interviewing Mickey Rourke; this guy is an interesting character. He seemed to go from having it all to hitting rock bottom and now seems to be on his way to getting out of the rut. You gotta give him props for that. To read more about Mickey Rourke click here.
Now… if you are an entertainment news junkie or animal lover you may know that Mickey’s Chihuahua Loki passed away last Tuesday. He’s almost in tears talking about it now to Barbara. I can’t say that I’m surprised by his emotional reaction as he describes to Walters the comfort his dogs gave him during tough times: "the dogs were there when no one else was there."
Without him going into explanation I totally get what he’s saying. Animals seem to have a way of supporting us without the need for words. They never judge us, or doubt us, or remember those times when we discipline them. They are loyal, loving and faithful and ask for nothing more than our attention and love, which is more than I can say for most of my ex-boyfriends!
Just show them a little TLC and throw them a bone every once and a while and they love you forever. I have had three dogs in my 24 years and when two of them passed I was heartbroken and still get choked up when I think about them to this day. If I’ve had a bad day it is impossible for me not to smile when my Pomeranian mix Possum chases my car down the driveway, doing a little hop skip jig all the way, almost jumping into my car as I open the door. Aren’t we cute?!?
He doesn’t know about how I just got a speeding ticket, broke up with my boyfriend, or got into an argument at work….nor does he care that my hair is a mess and I’ve got eyeliner under my eyes. He’s got poop hanging off his butt and he’s ready for a hug. Who’s momma’s pretty baby!

Kelly"
