My name is Rebecca Chewning, I'm 20 years old and I was born and raised in Charleston, SC. I'm a southern girl through and through. I'm currently working on finishing up my degree in marketing and I work full time as a store manager/ apparel buyer for a boutique. Basically, I get to shop for a living. I love meeting new people and going to events. I think I could offer a lot if chosen to be the Young & Free SC spokesperson. Thanks!

My generation is the technology generation. I think the networking that goes on today is just the tip of the iceberg. Facebook, Twitter, MySpace are all just the beginning. Who would have thought just a few short years ago that we would be able to check our bank statements from the convenience of our phones anywhere in the world? I think in the future technology will play an even greater role in the way my generation communicates with one another. I think it will also make our lives easier and help us save money. There is now an app for some smart phones that lets you scan the barcode on an item and your phone will search websites to find the cheapest price of that item. With this technology we will not only be able to money, but time as well. And we all know, ‘time is money’.
