Hi, my name is Lauren Verdi. I'm from Summerville, S.C. I will be graduating this May from Winthrop University with a degree in Integrated Marketing Communication.

I'm just doing the school thing and getting prepared for graduation. It seems the real world is coming so fast. It's kind of a scary thought, but I couldn't be more excited.

I'm enjoying the final months of being a senior college student and a sorority sister. It will be sad to leave many things behind, but knowing there is a whole other life ahead makes me feel ready to take on the world.

I'm just being me, YOUNG AND FREE IN SC!

I think it's always important to be surrounded by a lot of different people. Instead of being a recluse, be outgoing and talk to everyone you see.

Each person plays a unique role in your life, whether you are aware of it at the time or not.You never know will have an impact on you. Everyone you come into contact has changed your life in one way or another. Think about it.

Someone could change your life for the better, and you could do the same for them. Although it could be the other way around, regardless everything happens for a reason. Life is about learning from experiences, the good and the bad.

I firmly believe in talking to that stranger sitting by himself, starting a conversation with someone in line, and going out of your way to make that one person feel more welcome.

I will quote my aunt and say, "Be nice to a geek today." Hey you never know, they could be your boss one day!

Think of how powerful the act of a simple gesture is. Step out of your comfort zone, or embrace the one that is already present and put yourself out there, right on the edge...of life!

I've jumped out of a plane from $14,000 ft, top that! haha

I always remember kindness is contagious. It is all about paying it forward!
