APPLICANT #18: Is Whitney Iseman the Young & Free SC Spokesperson?

Whitney Iseman is a 20-year-old college student from Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.

Here is Whitney's video application:

Here is Whitney's current situation:

"I am currently enrolled at Trident Technical College. I am currently a waitress at an Italian restaurant in Mount Pleasant. My time away from work is spent doing school work, spending time with family and friends, and hanging with my wonderful dog, Bailey!"

Here is Whitney's blog post:

"Benefits of Adopting a Pet

Adopting a pet can be such a rewarding experience. You are not only saving a life, but you are also giving yourself a loyal life-long best friend. What is also so awesome is that in the long run, adopting a pet will more than likely save you some money! That's a benefit for EVERYONE!

It saves you money because all of the animals are spayed and neutered before you take them home; most pet adoption agencies are trying to control the breeding of animals because of the amount of animals with no homes. Most of the animals also already have their annual shots if they are old enough! How awesome?!?

I adopted my dog from the JASPCA on Leeds Ave. about a year and a half ago. I am so glad I decided to adopt my pet. She is a boxer mix, and her name is Bailey. She is so energetic, and although she can be a bit of a rebel at times, I would not change her for the world. Bailey is my best friend...always there, happy to greet me at the door.

I donate frequently to the SPCA now. I actually used to volunteer there too. Animal shelters are always looking for volunteers! It's fun too; you get to walk and play with the dogs and cats. So remember, adopt a pet, and you can save a life.

Whitney"
