Finalists Revealed!

Sep 16, 2009 The finalists for the first ever Young & Free Last Band Standing have been revealed! They are, in no particular order:
Congratulations to all of them! Their musical prowess and time spent campaigning certainly paid off for them. Now all they have to do is show up at Wild Wing Cafe in Mt. Pleasant on Wednesday, October 7th.
The event kicks off at 7 p.m., and is totally free to attend. However, donations of canned goods to the Lowcountry Food Bank would be greatly appreciated! Just bring it with you when you come to rock out!
Once they play, they will be judged by our panel of local celebrity judges!
T. Ballard Lesemann
Music Editor of the Charleston City Paper and local musician. T. Ballard is a great promoter of live music and always has his finger on the pulse of Charleston'smusic scene.

Charlton Singleton
Long-time Charleston trumpeter, educator, arranger and member of award-winning local band Plane Jane. Conductor with the Jazz Artists of Charleston’s Charleston Jazz Orchestra.

Mark Bryan
Founding member and guitarist of Hootie & The Blowfish, Awendaw-based songwriter, studio producer and solo artist. His latest solo album is titled End of the Front. Bryan also runs a project called Carolina Studios.

Quiana Parler
Charleston-based R&B/soul/funk vocalist, musical collaborator. She's well known in town for her American Idol auditions as well as for touring with Clay Aiken as a backup singer.

Music Director, Assistant Programming Director and long-time disc jockey with The Bridge at 105.5 WCOO. Joel regularly books, organizes and promotes special music events.
