Band bio:
The Whisperjets started in 2007 playing some impromptu cover songs at an oyster roast. The five have been best friends since elementary and middle school, and they realized a few years ago that they all have musical talent and like playing music together, so why not do something grand with it?
The Whisperjets have now evolved into a brass-infused pop-rock quintet. Their classical training, technical skill, musicianship, clever songwriting, and melodic horns create a unique sound that is all their own. They have all spent the vast majority of their formative years in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. They are now veteran performers who have played at many venues, including local staples like the Music Farm, the Pour House, the Windjammer, the Village Tavern, Awendaw Green, and many other places scattered around Charleston. They have headlined shows and opened for many great local favorites as well. They have also played at quite a few local festivals, parties, and assorted events. They usually play several shows every month, giving them a very tight and entertaining live show. Critics always say that the best way to experience the Whisperjets is live. Everyone who gets a chance to see their live performance always comes away as a fan, humming their infectious melodies for days after. The Whisperjets released their debut EP, "Midnight Shift" earlier this year, to critical acclaim.

"Whimsical, memorable songwriting, horn-laden grooves, and burning bass lines to melt the funk off your brain… The Whisperjets play with infectious bounce-around-the-room enthusiasm, yet maintain an air of professionalism that belies their young age. They’re raising the bar for “high school garage bands” everywhere."
