Band bio:
Although this power trio has only been together for a few months, the guys eat, sleep and breathe music. Before meeting and forming The Phoenix Revolution, the guys all played in other bands including Red Emotion Riot and Soul Funtion out of Myrtle Beach. The three met through mutual musician friends and immediately clicked to form the rock/pop group.
Despite the band being rather new, Derrick, Jamie and Drew have all been perfecting their instruments since childhood and have carried it on to the collegiate level. Drew studied guitar at Berklee School of Music, Jamie graduated from Atlanta Institute of Music and Derrick is currently attending Coastal Carolina.
Throughout their music careers, the guys have performed with such acts as The Benji Davis Project, The Nappy Roots, Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band and country artist Colt Ford. They've performed all over the southeast and at venues such as the House of Blues and the Music Farm. Their musical style covers a variety of genres including blues, rock, pop, country, funk and r&b. They've mastered the songs of artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Red Hot Chili Peppers, John Mayer, Prince, Rascal Flatts, Johnny Cash and even Mariah Carey to name a few. The guys have also written an array of original songs and boast a seven track CD.
The Phoenix Revolution is a band with a lot of talent, passion and energy. They truly love what they do and plan to pursue this career throughout their lives no matter where it takes them. This rock trio is one you will not easily forget.
