Receipts equal free food?

Happy Cinco de Mayo my Young & Free amigos! Today I thought I'd let you in on a little secret: if you don't immediately throw away your receipt from fast food places, sometimes there are websites listed on the back for surveys you can take. At the end of the survey, they will give you some sort of code that you will write onto your receipt, and you can bring it in the next day to redeem for free food!

I just took advantage of this yesterday at Arby's and got a free Regular Roast Beef sandwich. Imagine if some guy saw you eating a Roast Beef sandwich and said "Hey, do you like Roast Beef sandwiches?" You think to yourself, "Why is this guy so creepy?" but you answer him anyway with an enthusiastic "YES!" All of a sudden, the guy hands you a free Roast Beef sandwich. That is basically the same principal. Buy food you like, tell them how much you like it, and they give you more for free!

Some places that have been known to participate in random survey receipts are:

  • Arby's
  • Taco Bell
  • Burger King
  • Buffalo Wild Wings
  • Wendy's
  • Sonic
  • Panda Express
  • Moe's
  • Jack N The Box
  • O'Charley's
  • Ruby Tuesday
  • Starbucks
  • Schlotzsky's Deli
  • Church's Chicken
  • And Many more! Sometimes they are for cash or other prizes, and not food, but it's still free so who cares?

So, Jóvenes y la Libre folks (That's "Young and Free" in Spanish. Cinco de Mayo, remember?), get out there and tell your favorite restaurants how much you love them and get some delicious freebies for your trouble.

BONUS: Arby's, in addition to giving surveys for free Roast Beef sandwiches, has a SPECIAL FREEBIE tomorrow, May 6th, but it's only for people who know about it. It's from a super-secret e-mail which can be seen here: Free FruiTea from Arby's to Celebrate National Beverage Day! Just go there and when ordering your food, say "I'm parched. FruiTea me!" and get a free, delicious, fruity tea. FruiTea. Aaaah, I get it. Participating locations only, so don't shoot the messenger if your Arby's isn't doing it. =o
