Rolling coins? No thanks

So I dropped a couple of nickels into my piggy bank today, and when I tried to put the top back on I realized that I couldn't because it was so full. What to do?

Ten years ago I may have dumped the contents onto my floor and sorted it by hand, dropped each individual coin into a coin roll, and spent around an hour getting them all wrapped up ready to take to the bank.

Five years ago I may have used some sort of automatic coin roller thingy, but I would still have to take the pounds of change somewhere to deposit it.

A few years ago I may have just taken my piggy bank with me the next time I went to get groceries, and paid 5 cents on the dollar to have a machine eat all the change and spit cash back at me. Waste of money, but time efficient!

Now however, I am just going to take my piggy bank to my nearest South Carolina Federal Credit Union branch and dump its contents into the belly of an automatic sorting machine. It's free to use for members, and you can directly deposit it into whatever account you want! That way I don't have to even TOUCH any of the change, or pay for it to be processed! I just hope I remember to get all of the change out of my car when I go!

Never roll coins again. That's so old school. Peace.

Josh
