South Carolina FCU Gets Young & Free

Credit Union Times | By Myriam DiGiovanni

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – Young & Free is headed to South Carolina Federal Credit Union.

The credit union has become the second in the United States to kickoff Currency Marketing’s Young & Free spokesperson search at youngfreesc.com. The move is designed to help the credit union reach out and better connect with the 18-25 year old market.

The Young & Free spokesperson’s responsibilities range from attending events to keeping the youngfreesc.com Web site fresh with a mix of video, blogs and polls designed to educate, entertain and engage. Applications, which include a YouTube video and blog post, will be accepted through February 27 and the winner will be chosen online by the public.

Young & Free is a fully managed Generation Y marketing program licensed to one credit union in each U.S. state and Canadian province. It combines a product launch with a spokesperson search wrapped in an integrated traditional and social media marketing strategy. Young & Free Alberta for Servus Credit Union was the original program, and Young & Free Texas for TDECU launched in August 2008.
